Store Policies

We have over 3000 titles in the shop, and many others available through a small fellow-dealer network. So many that we simply don't have the website capacity, or time, to list them all here. So if you're looking for something that you don't see here, please fill out the "Offline Search Service" form to the left, or email us because there's a pretty good chance we can find a copy.

 

Please note that all books are subject to prior sale, but we keep the inventory updated pretty regularly so chances are if you want it, it's yours. All books are hardcover unless otherwise noted.

 

Payment Methods: We accept personal checks, Money Orders, and you an order directly from this website using a VISA, Mastercard, Discover or AMEX. The click the "Add to Cart" button adjacet to the item(s) you'd like, and click on the "Checkout" link at he top right of the webpage when you're done. Please note that we use PayPal as our credit card service provider. However, you DO NOT have to have a PayPal account in order to checkout with any of the major credit cards. Simply click the link on the checkout page that says "If you do not currently have a PayPal account, click here". And, of course, we welcome orders over the phone (719) 221-9027 [Our office hours are Evenings from about 5 pm to 8 pm] or through email at [email protected].

 

Shipping Methods: The automated storefront is set up for Media Mail shipping (usually about 4 - 7 days) at about $4.75 for the first book (based on 1 lb) and approximately $1.00 each additional book ( or lb.), as well as a few faster shipping methods which cost a bit more. However, please don't hesitate to send us an e-mail with your order indicating your alternate preferred shipping methods, we might be able to accommodate your request.  We do not charge for handling but the shipping charges include $1 for packaging materials, because we package securely in new boxes to reduce the chance of damage in transit. Insurance is also available by request. We attempt to ship the day following receipt of payment, but our location (and fishing habits) sometimes make that difficult. We no longer ship internationally due to costs and difficulties.

 

We do not offer Next-Day Airmail, or any of the similar next-day services simply because we are located over 50 miles from the nearest collection and shipping centers. It takes a day to get a package to one of these shipping locations, so the best we can offer is 2nd or 3rd Day mail.

 

Returns: Are accepted within 30 days of sale if you receive a book in a condition "other than described" on the website. Please contact us for return information. With prior arrangement, books can be returned for reasons other than inaccurate descriptions with a 20% restocking fee and no refund of the shipping charges. Unfortunately we can not offer returns or refunds for International Orders.

 

Used Book Purchase/Trade: We do purchase and/or offer value-in-trade for your used Collectible Angling Books. If you have a collection you'd like to part with, please contact us. For our best estimate on your collections value we'd like to have the following information, preferably on a spreadsheet: Author, Title, Publication Date, Publisher, Edition/Printing, and Condition of both Book and Jacket. For standard condition definitions, and for some help in determining the edition and printing, see our Collectors Info webpage. Any additional information, such as signatures, will help. Please note that we do not offer a Consignment Service.
